Freena Kirppu is a Finnish-American multidisciplinary artist and nightmare haver who was born on September 5th, 1995. She is a 3x college dropout, nature worshipping, vampyre freak.

Under a multitude of pseudonyms, Kirppu has produced works spanning over a decade, in the mediums of painting, drawing, collage, video, audio, sculpture, poetry, prose, story-writing, performance, costuming, installation, and more. She dredges up hellish landscapes from the depths of her twisted mind and trudges through the forbidden/forced ever-spiraling tunnels of the American lifestyle, in search of nothing but some laughs...

Kirppu has lived and worked in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Preston-Potter Hollow, New York, as well as Oakland and San Francisco, California, and West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, Florida, with some months-long stints in Mexico City and Bangkok.

She currently lives and works in Philadelphia.

In her own words, Freena Kirppu is “a hater of the world and lover of the Earth. I only want to sit on a pile of trash on the train track. I do not want to write about my art. Gotta go I am listening to the unreleased song Madly by Lana Del Rey. Have a beautiful day.”
